Narrated by: Joseph Goldstein
Someone came to the Buddha and said
“In what way is a lay person a lay follower accomplished in wisdom?”
So the Buddha replied
“A lay follower is wise possessing wisdom directed to a rising and passing away, which is noble and penetrative leading to the complete destruction of suffering in that way a lay follower is accomplished in wisdom.”
So again, it’s a very direct pointing to what leads to wisdom.
Directed to arising and passing away,
Which is noble and penetrative,
Seeing it deeply.
